SOUTH AFRICAN WOMEN’S EXPERIENCE IN PEACE-BUILDING

In pursuit from Zenobia Association for Syrian Women to benefit from the experiences of other nations about the role of women in ending wars, establishing peace, and linking it to the Syrian reality. On October 31, 2020, through the online platform( Zoom), Zenobia held a dialogue session entitled “The experience of women’s participation in South Africa in peacebuilding” where the professor hosted BERNEDETTE MUTHIEN, an expert in conflict resolution and mediation, who holds postgraduate studies in political science and works on the Executive Board of the International Peace Research Association. The session included vital dialogues about the importance of women’s contribution and their role in achieving real and sustainable peace in South Africa. They have a role in fighting violence and bringing peace to South Africa.
