In collaboration with the Peacebuilder Women team and young women interested in recycling, the Zenobia Association implemented the “Friends of the Environment” initiative in the Al-Bab area in northern Syria. The initiative aimed to reduce pollution through household waste recycling and resource utilization. It also fostered cooperation among women in the community and helped improve public health by addressing the issue of waste accumulation.
As part of the initiative, women were trained in recycling techniques, and the “Creative Hands Striving for Peace” exhibition was organized, attracting significant local attention. Additionally, cloth bags were distributed in the markets of Al-Bab to encourage reducing plastic use and promote community engagement.
