Proceeding from the belief of the Zenobia Association in the importance of community work and the importance of the participation of women and men in collective work, 17 community initiatives were implemented, led by Syrian women and youth, and young men and women. The 17 initiatives focused on the problems and challenges of Syrian refugees, in addition to educating them about their rights and duties, early marriage, supporting people with special needs, raising women’s awareness of reproductive health, engaging adolescents in shaping their future and developing their talents. The initiatives also focused on the fears that Syrians feel in the countries of asylum, which prevent them from returning to their homes, and how their integration into host communities can be increased.
