Nawa 2 Project

The Zenobia Organization implemented the “Nawa 2” project with support from ICAN (International Civil Society Action Network), aiming to promote the concepts of active citizenship, peacebuilding, and conflict sensitivity, and to empower young women and men to play an active role in social change and building civil peace.

The project included a series of training workshops on “Active Citizenship and Its Impact on Peacebuilding and Conflict Engagement,” in addition to a specialized workshop on “Leading Community Initiatives.” These activities aimed to equip young women and men with knowledge related to citizenship, identity, belonging, understanding conflicts, and transforming them, as well as practical skills in teamwork—enabling them to lead community initiatives that contribute to strengthening social cohesion and building civil peace.

Zenobia also conducted four open dialogue sessions, with the participation of more than 90 women and men from diverse backgrounds.

The project resulted in the launch of seven community initiatives led by youth, directly reaching more than 950 beneficiaries, and contributing to enhancing social cohesion while promoting a culture of dialogue, participation, and social responsibility.
