{"id":6144,"date":"2026-03-30T14:31:48","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T11:31:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zenobiasyria.org\/?p=6144"},"modified":"2026-03-30T14:31:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T11:31:48","slug":"community-initiatives-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zenobiasyria.org\/en\/community-initiatives-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Initiatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">As part of the \u201cNawa 2\u201d project, Zenobia Organization launched seven community initiatives over the course of two months\u2014November and December 2025\u2014led by young male and female peacebuilders.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">These initiatives aimed to strengthen social cohesion and promote the values of active citizenship and civil peace in the city of Aleppo and parts of northern Syria.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">While the initiatives varied in their target groups and activities, they all shared a common goal: creating safe spaces for dialogue and connection, and fostering a sense of belonging and shared responsibility. The initiatives included dialogue sessions for youth and adolescents, interactive digital platforms for university students, cultural and heritage-based activities, as well as engagement with schools, teachers, and parents. They also included psychosocial support sessions for persons with disabilities and war-injured individuals.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Among the \u0623\u0628\u0631\u0632 initiatives were:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li><strong>\u201cAleppo Brings Us Together\u201d<\/strong>: Organized dialogue sessions for youth, produced awareness videos using puppetry, and launched podcast episodes focusing on citizenship, peacebuilding, and coexistence.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cOur Voice Builds\u201d<\/strong>: Developed an interactive digital platform for university students, featuring opinion polls, an educational content library, and discussion rooms addressing priority issues.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cOur Stories\u201d<\/strong>: Conducted dialogue sessions and field visits to heritage sites in Aleppo, Idlib, and Salamiyah to strengthen connection to cultural heritage as a pathway to civil peace.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cA Cohesive and Aware Generation\u201d<\/strong>: Held sessions for teachers, parents, and adolescents to promote dialogue and acceptance, and produced a storytelling booklet reflecting diverse human experiences.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cTamask\u201d<\/strong>: Established clubs for adolescent girls and trained facilitators on citizenship and belonging concepts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cMosaic of a Nation\u201d<\/strong>: Worked with schoolgirls, educational staff, and parents through trainings and dialogues to strengthen active citizenship within the school environment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cTogether Despite Differences\u201d<\/strong>: Provided psychosocial support sessions for persons with disabilities and war survivors, along with livelihood support to ease economic burdens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The initiatives directly reached approximately 950 beneficiaries, including women, men, and youth.
